Ottis Gibson hoping for win before leaving England cricket

With the Windies series locked at 1-1, England are looking for the win to end their Test summer on a high.

MCC President Matthew Fleming said, "We are anticipating another very special occasion at Lord's and I am delighted that the stands look set to be full for the culmination of this fascinating Test series".

"There's a lot to play for, and our guys are really up for it".

England's chastened attack will be anxious to put the record straight too after being unable to prevent West Indies reaching their target of 322 in the second innings at Leeds to claim a five-wicket victory. Holder hopes Hutchison's local knowledge will prove invaluable.

"I saw it from around where the (limited-overs) 30-yard circle would be and was wondering what it was and if it would have any effect", West Indies captain Jason Holder told reporters at Lord's on Wednesday.

"Please take all necessary precautions as you prepare for this hurricane", Holder said. "It's gone further up north. And that the spirit of cricket is with them every time they enter the field".

As for his team-mates at Lord's, he added: "We know what's happening back home".

Essex batsman Tom Westley also needs a big score to have any chance of convincing the selectors that he should be on the plane to Australia later this year.

England bowling coach Ottis Gibson says it will be "emotional" to leave Trevor Bayliss' setup after the decisive third Test against the West Indies at Lord's, starting this Thursday (7th September).

"As bowlers we were confident we could bowl them out, but full credit to the West Indies - I thought they played fantastically well that last day".

The other moment that impressed Law came after victory was achieved.

"We just urge (people there) to stay safe, take all the necessary precautions - and as much as we can do is pray for them as well". Our heads were a bit down after how we got defeated in the first Test match.

He continued: "We did the hard work at Headingley and we know only hard work will do it for us again here. It's obviously given us some new life".

"The way we came from a hard position to get into a position where we could potentially win the game was a great effort and this is another opportunity for us to win a series, so that's the way we will be looking at it and we must make sure we start well and hopefully carry that forward".
