Carlo Ancelotti will leave Bayern Munich in January for Chinese Super League

He has been touted as Carlo Ancelotti's potential successor at Bayern Munich after leading Hoffenheim into the Champions League.

"I said a few weeks ago that Bayern are in danger of losing touch with PSG and Barcelona if they are not willing to pay these sums".

Bayern took the reins from the kick off while Anderlecht helped the hosts to increase their dominance after Sven Kums felled Robert Lewandowski inside the box to see a straight red card and to cause a penalty.

Bayern next face PSG away from home in what may well be a crucial game for deciding who finishes in top-spot, whilst Anderlecht host Celtic in Matchday two.

"We have to do more talking on the pitch", Robben told Sky.

He was better with his assists, placing 0.48 key passes every 90 - better than any of his previous three seasons - but it was his goal tally that has proven to be the most disappointing. "We should have finished them when they had a man sent off". Ancelotti will likely start Sebastian Rudy as a defensive midfielder.

Lewandowski also took aim at Bayern's activities off the pitch, criticising the club's global marketing campaigns and a perceived over-commercialisation that has also been the subject of intense fan protests this season.

The second goal arrived when Kimmich's cross from the right was met by Thiago in the middle, who fired past Sels on 65 minutes.

And Jerome Boateng - in his first game of the season after a thigh injury - set up Kimmich's 90th-minute goal.

Bayern and Anderlecht last played in the 2007-08 Champions League round of 16.

The domestic Chinese Super League season may not yet be over, but reports are circulating about two highly regarded European football coaches moving to China in time for the start of next year's campaign.

Lewandowski said that Bayern will have to "come up with something creative" if the club's intention is to keep buying world-class players and integrating them into their squad.
